Understanding Concussions – Dr. James Kelly!

Dr. James Kelly Talks About Areas of the Brain Affected by Concussion

The video below is BrainLine.org;’s  interview of Dr. James Kelly, professor of Neurosurgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and associate director of the Colorado Area Health Education Center System, on July 11, 2008. Dr. Kelly discussed the effect of concussions on the brain and at the end, he talks about how brain injury affects relationships. He states very sadly that the TBI survivor is fundamentally changed by the TBI incident. The injured brain will never be the same again and it affects relationships with family and people that the person interacts with. I was almost in tears!
